|It has been an emotionally charged start to 2020, and the latest in this list is the recent declaration of pandemic status for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).|
COVID-19 is something we are taking seriously, and encourage all members of the public to do the same to prevent exposure to the virus to those who are most at risk. While you may be healthy and feel you are not likely to be seriously affected, be mindful that you could still pass on the virus to others, even if you are asymptomatic.
IFA Mortgages & Finance is operating as usual and at capacity, however we are putting steps in place to limit unnecessary exposure and contact with clients where possible. Meetings that are imperative to the operation of our business will continue and we don’t expect to see any material impact to our clients as a result of recent Government announcements or this internal policy.
We are monitoring the situation closely and taking on all available information as it comes to hand. We will provide further updates if additional information is made available.
In the meantime, the easiest way to protect yourself and others is by displaying good hygiene practices, including regular hand washing and practising social distancing techniques, even if you are not exhibiting symptoms.
If you are displaying symptoms of a cold or flu, we encourage you to stay at home and avoid contact with others. It is all of our responsibility to protect our most vulnerable however possible.
For any individuals or businesses experiencing financial hardship (or with an expectation that they might in the future), I encourage you to get in touch with our team who can assist with applying for financial assistance via their lender.
